John Grose is a household name when it comes to buying a car in East Anglia, but did you know it has also been a training ground for highly skilled motor mechanics, sales people and administrators for about 5 generations?

 Today’s John Grose Group operates an extensive dealership network, offering Main Dealer services for Ford, Peugeot, Citroen, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler and Kia from branches in Ipswich, Lowestoft, Woodbridge, Diss and Framlingham.  It also has a separate bodyshop in Lowestoft and has recently invested £1million in a new bodyshop in Ipswich, close to one of its existing sites on Ransomes Europark.

 Still independently owned, John Grose employs more than 450 people across all sites. The company divides its training into two areas – employees that it can develop and manage through manufacturer training and those who receive training through external providers.  John Grose employees can qualify from certificate to degree level in the areas of human resources, dealer operations (taking in sales and marketing) and finance and resources, the company also supports people through training with the institute of management accounting.
