The first thing to remember is that the choice of repairer is yours, although some insurers operate an ‘approved repairer scheme’ this is only advisory.

Under most insurance policies, only one repair estimate is required. Your John Grose Accident Repair Centre will prepare an estimate and provide you with a copy.

Complete the insurance claim form answering all the questions as completely as possible. If you need help, talk to a member of staff at your John Grose Accident Repair Centre who will also fax the form to your insurer if you wish.

Once your insurer has your claim and a copy of an estimate, they will liaise with your repairer, giving approval for the work to start.

As soon as approval is given, your repairer can order any parts needed, then commence the repair. If you need alternative transport your John Grose Accident Repair centre can arrange this for you.

We will give a guaranteed completion time and keep you informed of all progress.

• You have the right to choose who carries out your repair
• In most cases you only need to get one estimate
• If your insurer gives you the go ahead to carry out the repair work, it does not automatically mean they have accepted your claim
