JEEP’S WINNING WAYS AT JOHN GROSE
For an award-winning 4x4 manufacturer, plus genuine heritage, desirable style and great value for money, then look no further than the Jeep® range at local dealership John Grose.
Whether it’s a compact, fuel-efficient SUV, an iconic off-roader, or a versatile performer with space for seven, there’s a model to suit everyone at the Ransomes Europark showroom.
Kicking off the range is the Jeep Patriot – priced from £15,995 – which was crowned 4x4 of the Year 2008 by 4x4 and MPV Driver Magazine.
David Billison, Franchise Manager at John Grose Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge, said: “The Patriot has been a big hit and since it won this prestigious award, its popularity has soared with motorists!”
Commenting on the award – which was announced in the December edition of the magazine – Bob Murray, Editor of 4x4 and MPV Driver, said: “The Jeep Patriot is quicker than the Land Rover Freelander 2, more able off-road than the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, pumps out less CO2 than the Nissan X-Trail and has a boot around the size of the VW Tiguan’s.
“The Patriot is a cracking car to drive and promises to be a decent ownership proposition. It adds a welcome dash of adventure and US style to a sometimes bland SUV market. At last you can have your American pie …. and eat it, too!”
The publication also awarded Gold to the Jeep brand in its 2007 Green 4x4 awards, ahead of all other manufacturers of 4x4s and SUVs.
The Jeep Patriot is available in Sport or Limited trim and offers a choice of petrol or diesel engines and manual or automatic transmission.
Capable of more than 42mpg fuel economy in 2.0-diesel guise*, all models come as standard with electric windows, CD/radio, front and side airbags plus anti-lock brakes and ESP® with Electronic Roll Mitigation.
Joining the Patriot at John Grose Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge is the stylish Jeep Compass SUV (from £18,205), which returns more than 43mpg when powered by the refined 2.0 diesel power plant*.
Also available are the luxurious Jeep Grand Cherokee (from £26,995) and the seven-seat Jeep Commander (from £31,895).
Meanwhile, the iconic Jeep Wrangler was completely redesigned in 2007 to deliver improved on-road performance plus a diesel powered auto version, while still retaining the peerless off-road capabilities of its illustrious predecessor.
The original two-door version is also joined by a long-wheelbase four-door model – Wrangler Unlimited - and prices for the range start from £18,595.
Soon to arrive is the completely redesigned version of the popular Cherokee. The all-new model maintains its predecessor’s peerless off-road abilities but adds greater on-road performance, increased comfort and higher equipment levels.
