John Grose Crowned UK's Platinum Kia Dealer & Honoured in Melbourne at World Awards Ceremony

UK’s platinum Kia dealer John Grose takes honours

at Dealer of the Year 2011 Awards in Australia

Local Kia dealer John Grose, freshly crowned with a platinum status as one of the world’s top dealerships, has been honoured at Kia’s Dealer of the Year Award in Melbourne, Australia, on January 28th.

With a network of over 3,000 Kia dealers worldwide, John Grose was among the 30 top global dealers whose sales achievements and commitment to customer satisfaction and excellence were celebrated. Alister Leith, Group Managing Director of the John Grose Group Ltd., accepted a plaque with the engraved words “Dealer of the Year 2011 for Professionalism of the Highest Degree and Outstanding Performance as an Authorised Kia Dealer” from Thomas Oh, Kia’s Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.

The Kia Dealer of the Year awards ceremony, held jointly with the Awards for the Australian Open Amateur Tennis Awards, was rounded off by a festive dinner.

John Grose’s Alister Leith and his wife Kate continued to enjoy their trip to Melbourne the following day when Kia, proud sponsor of the Australian Open, provided all winners with seats for what became the longest Grand Slam final in history, seeing Novak Djokovic defeat Rafael Nadal in an epic six-hour match.

Prior to attending the prestigious awards ceremony ‘down under’, local Kia dealer John Grose had been named one of the top dealerships not just in the UK, but across the whole of Europe. John Grose Kia was pitted against over 2,000 Kia dealers across the European network and came out on top to win prestigious platinum dealer status. Richard Howard, Sales Director, from John Grose Kia collected the award at the Europe-wide Kia Dealer Excellence Awards ceremony in Budapest recently.

John Grose was judged on three different criteria: customer satisfaction, sales of both new and used cars and their overall dealer excellence. The dealer excellence criteria is a combination of the former two factors along with the franchise standards which Kia agrees with the dealer to ensure uniformity across the network.

Proving they have what it takes and can successfully balance both high sales and high levels of customer satisfaction, John Grose Kia was just one of two dealers in the UK to be classed as a Platinum dealer.

Richard Howard of John Grose Kia explains the significance of the platinum status: “It’s fantastic for our team at Lowestoft to have been recognised not only for their hard work in selling cars, but through their outstanding customer satisfaction results as well.  The awards are based on real customer feedback, and so everyone who has bought a Kia over the past year has been a judge for these awards, it’s not some faceless panel, which is what makes this platinum status all the more important to us.”
