Leap Of Faith Raises Over £600 For Charity
Sales Executive, Gary Page, plunged from a plane at Beccles Airfield on Sunday 19th August and has been busy raising money for the well-known children’s charity over the past three months.
It was Gary’s first ever skydive and while he admitted to experiencing some nerves before the jump, he enjoyed it so much it may not be his last.
Commenting on the skydive, Gary said: “I was glad that I didn’t have a long wait on the day as I was one of the first to go up at about 10.30am. No sooner had I been squeezed into an ill-fitting jump suit, stood on a crash mat to run through the drill then I was in the queue for the first plane. I have to admit there were a couple of occasions when I had jelly legs and second thoughts, but I’m so glad that I took the plunge and no words can really describe how it felt.”
Gary also expressed his gratitude to friends, family, work colleagues and loyal Peugeot customers, for their generous sponsorship.
“I’ve been overwhelmed by the goodwill of my sponsors and the support from my already loyal customers. The skydive is just the start of our fundraising at John Grose Peugeot and we can’t wait to raise even more money for BBC Children in Need to help make a difference in our local community.”
Peugeot UK is an official charity partner of Children in Need, which helps disadvantaged children across the country and John Grose will be fundraising throughout 2012 for the charity.
