Fast Ford Event - Sunday 13th August 2017

To celebrate the fantastic range of Ford Performance vehicles now available, including the Focus RS & ST, Mustang GT and the New ST-Line range, we were joined by many of you at the Fast Ford Event at our FordStore Ipswich dealership on Ransomes Europark on Sunday 13th August.  We were excited to give so many of you a close look at the stunning Fast Ford range as well as a number of new and classic fast Ford vehicles.

GUEST APPEARANCE

We were ecstatic to be host to a stunning Ford GT on the day.

The all-new Ford GT road car is fitted with Ford's new 3.5L Twin Turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine that produces 647HP.

The all-new Ford GT uses more than 50 different sensors to monitor vehicle performance and behaviour, external environment, and driver inputs for an optimised driving experience.
The ultra-high-performance Ford GT’s sensors provide real-time information on factors from the positions of pedals, steering wheel and deployable rear wing, to air humidity and sunshine levels, delivering the thrill of a Le Mans-winning race car.
Data is generated at a rate of 100GB per hour – equivalent to about 25,000 song downloads –and is processed by more than 25 onboard computing systems comprising 10 million lines of software code – more than a Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter jet.  Between them, the systems can analyse 300MB of data – comparable to downloading an hour-long TV show – every second.

“The Ford GT’s sophisticated computing systems work hand-in-hand with the vehicle’s core race car architecture to enhance performance, and also deliver greater versatility and flexibility,” said Dave Pericak, Ford Performance global director. “By constantly monitoring inputs, vehicle loads and environment, and adjusting the car’s profile and responses to suit, the Ford GT remains as responsive and stable at 180mph as it is at 18mph.”

Fitted with sports suspension, sports bodykit, sports-style front seats, keyless start and responsive engines, the ST-Line range offer impressive performance and sporty spec at a great price.  Click here to see our latest Focus, Mondeo & Kuga ST-Line Offers

Focus ST

New Focus ST

With its Torque Vectoring Control, New Focus ST reacts to the road surface 100 times per second. (That’s 33 times faster than the blink of an eye.) Using this information, it balances the amount of power delivered to each of the two front wheels. This maximises grip and sharpens handling, helping you round corners and over undulations in the road.  Click here to see our latest New Focus ST Offers

Focus RS

New Focus RS

The new AWD 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine’s revolutionary technology incorporates direct fuel injection, twin independent variable camshaft timing and a twin-scroll turbocharger.  Tuned and calibrated specifically for the Focus RS, the result is: maximum power of 350 PS and maximum torque of 440 Nm (470 Nm overboost).  Excellent low-end responsiveness is matched by powerful mid-range pull. And the free-revving top-end is set to a maximum limit of 6,900 rpm.  Click here to see our latest New Focus RS Offer

Ford Mustang

New Mustang

Behind the wheel of a new Mustang, you’ve got complete control over the way the car drives and handles.  At the flick of a switch, you can change between four different modes: Normal, Sport Plus, Track, and Snow/Wet.  Each setting adjusts throttle response, gearshift points (on automatic transmission models), steering effort and stability control calibration.  By tuning the car’s set-up to the specific demands of a situation, you can drive with confidence in them all.  Click here to see our latest New Mustang Offers

All-New Fiesta ST

All-New Fiesta ST - Coming 2018

The All-New Fiesta ST is even more powerful and responsive.  The handling is even more focussed and precise.  With the ability to customise and personalise the car like never before, the end result is a performance car engineered to put a smile on your face every time you take the wheel.
