Kia Niro wins best plug-in hybrid in dieselcar and ecocar’s annual top 50
- Award-winning Kia Niro praised for practicality and fuel efficiency, available at John Grose
- Four Kia models made the DieselCar and EcoCar Top 50 list
DieselCar and EcoCar Magazine has named Kia Niro the ‘Best Plug-in Hybrid’ this year due to its low emissions and high fuel economy of a hybrid car. The car will feature in this year’s Top 50 list that looks at the best 50 cars currently on the market.
Karl Rogers, New Car Sales Manager at John Grose Kia says: “We’re thrilled the Niro has been named Best Plug-in Hybrid, which we’ve seen as a real success at our Kia dealership in Lowestoft. Having four models making the top 50 list recognises Kia’s ability to cater to customers’s ever-changing needs and their ability to produce great reliable cars that are enjoyed by customers.”
The Niro is available now at John Grose as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid or all-electric model. With potential fuel economy of well over 200mpg and CO2 emissions of just 29g/km, the Kia Niro plug-in hybrid (PHEV) is easily the manufacturer’s most efficient car to feature a combustion engine to date.
Elsewhere on the list, the Kia Sportage continues to be popular finishing in seventh place and was Kia’s best Top 50 position in the list. Two members of the Kia Ceed family appeared on the list with the Ceed finishing at number 20 and the ProCeed taking spot number 34. The Kia Stinger, the car manufacturers first grand tourer and first rear-wheel-drive car in the UK was also ranked in the top 50, finishing at number 45.
