Motability Awareness Day 2019

Thursday 13th June 2019 | 10am - 4pm

We were thrilled to host our seventh annual Motability Awareness Day at our Ipswich and Lowestoft dealerships.

It was a lovely day (despite the rain!) and we had lots of positive feedback from those who attended. Thank you if you came along, we hope you enjoyed it and found it useful.

Dedicated to the Motability Car Scheme, the event offered an opportunity for those who think they, or someone they care for, may be eligible to find out more by speaking to our friendly and experienced team, and learn first-hand about the leading car scheme for disabled people. It is also open to everyone already on the Motability Scheme.

You could be eligible if you receive one of the following:

  • Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • War Pensioner's Mobility Supplement
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment

What's changed about Motability?

In 2013, the Government replaced the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) with a Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

What's PIP?

PIP is available for disabled people aged between 16 and 64. The change means a more objective assessment, based on how the individual's impairment affects their life and their ability to carry out everyday activities. You may now be eligible for the scheme if you weren't before.

Test drives were available, as well as complimentary refreshments, special offers and a chance to win some fantastic prizes in our free prize draw!

We were joined by a number of mobility related partners at the event, from adaptation specialists explaining how a car can be modified to suit individual mobility requirements, to those offering wheelchair accessible vehicles, scooters, disability living aids and much more, shown below.  Please click on their name to find out more.

We’re very passionate about the Motability Scheme and what it can do for our customers (we’re proud to be the first dealer to have won Motability’s Regional Dealer of the Year twice) and are pleased we can host this event.

It was lovely seeing everyone there and are looking forward to our next one.
