DS 9 - More information coming soon
DS has revealed a new range-topping saloon - the DS 9 - intended as a fresh alternative to the likes of the Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, Volvo S90 and Jaguar XF.
It grows the DS line-up to three models, sitting above the DS 3 Crossback and 7 Crossback SUVs as a long-promised halo model for PSA’s premium arm.
There is a fastback element to the car in profile, but it’s more a traditional three-box saloon. The front end takes inspiration from the brand’s latest launches with a large, diamond mesh chrome-effect grille flanked by chrome headlight detailing, vertical LED running lights and DS Active LED Vision headlights, with five separate automatic modes. A chrome strip runs down the centre of the bonnet to the windscreen, too, signifying the model’s flagship status.
The sides of the DS 9 are a mixture of smooth surfacing and strong lines - the sharp shoulder crease contrasts with flush door handles. The back features a compact rear end with trademark DS 3D diamond pattern LED taillights, more chrome detailing, a smooth rear bumper, and a nod to the original 1955 DS in the form of the indicators - they’re mounted high on the car’s C-pillar.
Designed with E-TENSE hybrid power, this new saloon has been created to offer technical excellence, incredible comfort and unparalleled sophistication.
The first reveal of DS 4, the first of the DS Automobiles premium C-Segment range combining French luxury expertise and advanced technology, in a daring new design for 2021.
DS 4 will be available with the latest generation E-TENSE plug-in hybrid power unit, and is the first step towards augmented reality with DS SMART TOUCH technology, allowing drivers and passengers to control the centre console with fingertip gestures.

- DS Active Scan Suspension
Predicting the road - Helped by a camera located at the top of the windscreen, four sensors and three accelerometers, DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION acts instantly and independently on each wheel, making fine adjustments to how firm or soft the suspension is depending on how uneven the road surface is.
- DS Night Vision
See what can’t be seen in the dark - An infrared camera in the grille of DS 4 detects pedestrians and animals up to 200 metres away and displays them in the digital instrument panel enabling you to anticipate danger and react calmly. A real safety benefit ensuring you have a restful drive, even in complete darkness.
For DS 4, our engineers came up with a much more efficient platform, in the name of design and performance. Designed to take our latest generation E-TENSE plug-in hybrid power unit combining a 180hp petrol engine and a 110hp electric motor, from 2021 it will enable incredible performance and driving flexibility: up to 30 miles electric-only range on the WLTP combined cycle, without compromising its usability or boot capacity.
