John Grose Chairman Joins ITFC Charitable Trust

John Grose Chairman, Ian Twinley, has recently become a Trustee of the Ipswich Town Charitable Trust, joining several other heads of business from the local area.

ITFC Charitable Trust is the registered partner Charity of Ipswich Town Football Club. It is very much a locally based organisation and uses sport (in particular football) and their close relationship with the Football Club, as a way of making a difference to the lives of people living in and around Suffolk.

They work hard to provide children, young people and adults the chance to take part in sport, health improvement and education activities that perhaps they may not otherwise have access to.

ITFC Charitable Trust is overseen by this team of local professionals who bring a specialised skill to the Trust board. Having this range of expertise from the Trustees ensures the charity is supported by people who have the knowledge to guide the Trust in the right direction and place the local community at the heart of its agenda.

Ian Twinley is pictured above with Matt Holland, former team captain for ITFC who captained them to the Premier League in 2000 by winning the First Division Play-Off final. He has stepped into the shoes of former Patron the late Sir Bobby Robson. Chief Executive Terry Baxter has welcomed Matt back to the club and says ‘Matt was an obvious choice for this role, these are big shoes to fill but with Matt’s pedigree and commitment to both the club and the wider community we are delighted to have him on board.’
