Omoda Launch EV Tax Rebate to Offset Future Road Charges

Omoda have announced a bold new initiative to make electric driving more affordable: the EV Tax Rebate. This manufacturer-funded rebate is designed to counter the UK Government’s upcoming pay-per-mile tax on electric vehicles, which will take effect from April 2028.

Under the new tax rules, EV drivers will pay 3p per mile, adding hundreds of pounds to annual running costs. To help customers get ahead of this change, Omoda & Jaecoo are offering an upfront saving equivalent to 20,000 miles of the future tax - worth £600 - on the fully electric Omoda E5.

How It Works

  • The rebate applies to vehicles purchased through Omoda’s approved 48-month finance agreements.
  • Customers benefit immediately, effectively covering two to three years of the forthcoming tax.

With the average EV covering around 8,740 miles per year, this rebate offers a significant buffer against future costs.
