John Grose Chery named official sponsor of the New Wolsey Theatre’s 25th anniversary Rock ’n’ Roll panto, Beauty and the Beast

The New Wolsey Theatre is thrilled to announce that John Grose Chery will be the official sponsor for this year’s festive pantomime extravaganza, Beauty and the Beast.

The corporate partnership builds on an already strong relationship between the theatre and the local dealership. John Grose recently supported the theatre’s schools tour of Hare and Tortoise, helping the production reach more than 2,500 young people across the region by providing the use of a 100% electric, zero-emissions van free of charge.

Sarah Frost, Marketing Manager of John Grose Group, said: “John Grose Chery are proud to sponsor the New Wolsey Theatre’s Christmas pantomime! We’re thrilled to support a festive tradition that brings joy, laughter and supports our local community bringing lots of festive cheer into Ipswich. Here’s to a season full of sparkle, storytelling, and unforgettable family moments!”

Douglas Rintoul, Chief Executive/Artistic Director of the New Wolsey Theatre, said: “Corporate partnerships are absolutely vital to what we do. Their support doesn’t just help us stage a spectacular pantomime, it enables us to reach more communities, create theatre that is truly inclusive, and showcase incredible talent from across our region. Together, we’re bringing joy to families, inspiring young people, and ensuring that everyone has the chance to experience the magic of live performance. A huge thank you to John Grose Chery for standing with us and making this possible.”

This year marks the 25th anniversary of New Wolsey Theatre’s award-winning and iconic Rock ’n’ Roll pantomimes with Beauty and the Beast playing from 21 November 2025 until 17 January 2026 (with livestreamed performances from 20-29 December). The Ipswich venue will be looking back at its rich panto history during the season and celebrating a quarter-century of spreading joy across Suffolk and beyond. For those who can’t make it into the theatre, the magic doesn’t stop—there will be livestreamed performances from 20–29 December, bringing the show directly into homes across the country. This digital access ensures that everyone, regardless of location or circumstance, can join in the festive fun and be part of our celebrations.

Suitable for all ages, Beauty and the Beast will be packed full of magical adventure, hilarious panto gags and incredible rock and pop hits all played live by an exceptionally talented cast. Visit: www.wolseytheatre.co.uk/events/ipswich-panto or call the Box Office on 01473 295900.
