Kia UK Wins ‘Carmaker of the Year’ for Third Consecutive Year
Kia UK has done it again! For the third year in a row, the brand has been named ‘Carmaker of the Year’ at the prestigious Motor Trader Industry Awards 2025. This remarkable achievement highlights Kia’s continued commitment to innovation, dealer partnerships, and leadership in electrification.
The award was announced on 19 November at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, where industry leaders gathered to celebrate excellence across the automotive sector.
The judging panel praised Kia for its award-winning product line-up, dealer-first business strategy, and strong EV leadership. Their verdict?
Kia took the Carmaker of the Year Award for its strong relationship with dealers, profitability of the franchise, extensive training, and excellent EV range. It continues to innovate with the launch of its electric PBV range—a compelling package.
This year has been a milestone for Kia, with record-breaking dealer engagement and sales performance. The brand is on track to surpass its annual UK sales record, driven by exciting new models:
2025 also marks the launch of Kia’s PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) business, starting with the PV5, Kia’s first dedicated electric light commercial vehicle. Supporting this innovation is a new network of PBV Centres across the UK, offering specialist sales and aftersales services.
Kia continues to lead in dealer relationships, ranking number one volume franchise in the UK in the latest NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey—a position it has maintained in the top three for 19 consecutive surveys.
