​Supporting Futurestars Charity's Kit Donation Programme

At John Grose Group, we're proud to support the fantastic work of Futurestars Charity, a sports and education charity that helps create opportunities for underprivileged children across Africa.

One of the charity's ongoing projects involves collecting surplus and unused football kits, sportswear and equipment from professional football clubs throughout the UK and distributing them to schools and community sports organisations in Ghana.

We're pleased to support this initiative by providing a vehicle for Futurestars Charity Director, Simon Milton, enabling him to collect donations from clubs across the country. The collection and transportation process is a vital part of the operation and involves significant coordination between multiple organisations to ensure costs are kept to a minimum.

This year alone, the vehicle has been used to collect donated kit from Ipswich Town, Brighton & Hove Albion and Norwich City, helping to ensure these valuable donations reach the communities that need them most.

Once collected, the kit is stored at a warehouse in Ipswich, where Futurestars Charity volunteers sort, count and pack the items into boxes ready for shipment. Through the charity's logistics partners, the donations are then transported to Ghana.

When the shipment arrives, the kit is delivered to storage facilities in Tema, where volunteers begin the sorting process once again before distributing the items to partner schools and sports organisations across the country.

We're delighted to play a small part in supporting such an important initiative and helping Futurestars Charity make a positive difference to the lives of young people through sport and education.
