The John Grose story began in 1888 when Joseph George Grose built bicycles

The origins of the Grose family business date back to 1888, when Joseph George Grose began building bicycles in his Northampton workshop. Over time, the business expanded into motor vehicle coachworks and vehicle retailing. John Grose Group Limited, commenced trading in East Anglia in 1975 and has since grown to operate across Suffolk and South Norfolk.

Today, John Grose represents a range of leading automotive brands, with Ford vehicle dealerships in Ipswich and Lowestoft, alongside Kia in Lowestoft, and Peugeot, Citroën, OMODA, JAECOO, Kia PBV, Chery and Geely in Ipswich, plus servicing, aftersales and rental divisions. John Grose currently employs over 300 colleagues across the Group.
