Elmer's Big Parade
St Elizabeth Hospice has teamed up with Wild in Art again this year to stage Suffolk’s biggest ever mass-participation, public art event – Elmer’s Big Parade.
The interactive sculpture trail will feature more than 50 Elephants across Ipswich and beyond. This summer, you will be able to follow the trail and to try to see as many of the sculptures as possible.
The Elmers, based on the children’s book, will be beautifully decorated by artists and generously sponsored by local businesses. Each design will be unique and have a theme. We are pleased to be able to help out by varnishing the Elmers at our Bodyshop when they’ve been painted to protect them.
After you have enjoyed Elmer’s Big Parade, the large elephant sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice.
We are very proud to announce that we are also sponsoring an Elmer ourselves! In addition to this, we were able to loan one of our Ford Van’s for transporting the Elmers around.
Please follow our John Grose's Elmer Facebook and Twitter page and look out for more details to follow soon.
